Insulin/Sugar Worries – Maybe(?)

Standard

Just heard back from the Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Specialist’s nurse – D. After some questionable bloodwork, here are the results:

Fasting Insulin:16 (Which worries MFM – ‘Borderline-high’)
RMA (huh?): 96 (Good)
Hemoglobin A1C (que?, say what?): 5.6 (G00d)

They told me to call my OB/Gyn for their perspective because high insulin can can affect fertility/pregnancy outcomes, according to D.
So I did. Dr.W, (not my usual Dr. U), calls back from my OB/Gyn’soffice and tells me that she can’t understand why they suggested I contact them. She sugests that I call them back and ask them to provide a follow-up letter with recommendations to my OB/Gyn.

Please! Someone help me.
